SRK, MNIK, Shiv Sena and the falling Maharashtra

Does Shahrukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, need to do any self-publicity? I say NO, and he isn’t doing it if people are saying that. Come on guys, have some sense. No one risks their national status just for a movie. Everything done here, is by SHIV SENA. The head-to-toe of all this is just the Thackareys who are playing it all around with the sentiments of their Marathi language, and unnecessarily bringing out religious clashes out of nothing.

bal thackarey shahrukh

I’m no SRK fan, nor I’m a Khan.. am a Hindu who gives more value to nation than to a religion. Here is what SRK tweeted, on what he feels about the entire issue -

  • feel awful that balasahib & udhav have misconstrued my words. the reactions of the sena workers seems to make me believe that.
  • i have never hurt anybody’s sentiments..religious,nationalist or personal wittingly. i am pro relationships but not at cost of my nation.
  • i want to enjoy my film everywhere. i want to enjoy it within myself. and to sickos who think this is for publicity..2 words SHUT UP !!
  • p.s…to all channels translating this…please get it right without adding the dramatic music. drama leave it to the films.
  • i have the courage of conviction by my side. i explain becos better to do that, than create aggression & division in my country.
  • we have bad ppl in india, pakistan and everywhere else. nobody including me stands by anyone who is bad or resorts to inhuman acts.
  • Last thoughts:
  • 1. appeal to all to understand that mumbai is the gateway of india to the world.
  • 2. film industry is india’s cultural ambassador all around the globe.all of us have the responsibilty to protect the fair name of mumbai…
  • 3. mumbai’s legendary film industry & its spirit of pluralism and tolerance. i do this all around the world & can do so wherever needed.

It originally started from the comments by Shahrukh Khan, on the ignorance towards Pakistani players in the IPL team selections and auctions. From there, Shiv Sena got a sparking idea of taking the control on the state of Maharashtra, and gain the support from marathi people, by gaining sympathy about all this. Did they realize that no one is a kid here? Everyone knows what’s going on and there was nothing wrong in Shahrukh speaking out something. Remember the freedom of speech in the law book of India?
As this went on, Shahrukh’s next movie My Name is Khan (not at all a religious one for sure) was another good one for Shiv Sainiks to go against. They just need something to cry about. Bal Thackarey wanted SRK to apologize to everyone for the comments he gave about Pakistani players. Is Bal Thackarey the father of the nation to decide what a person has to talk, and whether he has the right to share his views or not? And to support him, there is an entire insane army of “Shiv Sena” who is born to create violence. Protests in front of SRKs home, tearing down the posters of the movie, taking out rallies.. just because SRK didn’t apologize!

People say Media always needs something to talk about, but sometimes they utter out the truth. On a single screen, Headlines Today, NDTV, Star News had put similar discussions on their channels with people from Shiv Sena, Congress, MNS talking to each other and how the loopholes of the Shiv Sena party were exposed, still they keep trying to cover up everything, just brushing up and claiming that SRK is trying to bring religious clashes in the country. Dear Shiv Sainiks, when we Indians have no problem, when Mumbaikars have no problem, them whom are you fighting for? Yourself right!

One of the jerks from Shiv Sena openly challenged the people of Mumbai, stating that if they go to the theaters to watch the movie, they would be stoned, lathi-charged, and the theaters would be damaged. That clearly shows.. people aren’t supporting them. The party people are just forcibly asking people to boycott the movie, not voluntarily. The multiplexes in Mumbai have decided not to release the movie on 12th february there, only because they fear of the damage that Shiv Sena would cause to them if they screened it. Upon asking Shiv Sena, they said they were happy about Multiplexes supporting their boycotting movement. What a joke! RAHUL NARVEKAR of Shiv Sena will surely be beaten up some day, by the same mumbaikars whom he is trying to seek support from. The fierce voice of his, has just selfish image behind it.

Owner of G7 Multiplex openly said that they had to cancel the screening of the film in their theater, because they have to screen many films in future and don’t want to lose viewers there. 45,000 employees of Western City industries have decided to go watch the movie, just to challenge the Shiv Sena and its fight. If the whole Mumbai stands up in the same way (police force is already giving their support), Shiv Sena is no where. They would stop moaning after a few days!

Raj Thackarey, the only thackarey who isn’t a Shiv Sainik, came out with another issue.. asking why Shiv Sena is letting Amitabh Bachchan out of all this and just holding SRK as a doll to play with! AB also had commented about Pakistan, in their support. That’s another blow to the Sainiks.

Not only SRK says, but we also believe that his comments didn’t hurt any sentiments nationally, personally or in a religional way. We are with you, Shahrukh. Your name is Khan, but you are an Indian. We too are. Let the Shiv Sainiks keep barking like chained dogs.

Doing all this, neither Bal Thackarey, nor Raj Thackarey are noticing that Maharashtra is just filling into a pit that these Thackareys are digging. They are winning nothing!

  1. I’ve always been proud to be an Indian, and now after reading this and several such articles, the sense of Pride has doubled. It’s great to see so many Indians standing up FOR Shahrukh. Everyone knows wat he said wasn’t wrong. I watched Barkha Dutt’s show on NDTV. 99.99% of the randomly picked audience there supported SRK. This only goes on to show that the Aam Junta is with SRK and the problem creators, the effigy burners, etc. are not the Aam Junta. They’ve been paid to ‘ACT’ against SRK. It’s just acting what they r doing, n getting paid for it. This controversy is merely a political gimmick.
