Salim-Sulaiman and Yash Raj Films had recently patched up for Rocket Singh, i was not impressed with the music there prior to the release of the film too, but here in Pyaar Impossible whose music is released, though the movie is set to release in 2010, the songs are totally different and gives a feel of the music that present teen generation would enjoy listening to.
Its not the lyrics by Javed Akhtar or Gulzar, and not the voice of the best like Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan etc. Its all the names which you would have rarely heard but collectively have done a great job in composing the music and singing. There are total of 5 original numbers and 2 remixes, all done by Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant.

And a point to notice, always there is a song where the name of the girl/boy is titled as the song when the actor is Uday Chopra (remember Dhoom 2?)

The songs -
Alisha – The first one started perfectly by Anushka Manchanda with boldish and cutting-edge voice, added by the male voice of Salim Merchant who adds the taste of the movie title by including the words Pyaar Impossible in this song itself. There is a mix of the normal hindi + westernized voice, both by Anushka. A perfectly done 5:00 minutes track. There’ s a remix version of this song too.

Pyaar Impossible – The title track, with the music in the start nearly similar to what you heard in Aashayein (Iqbal) and Is Jahaan Mein (Tum Mile) but is always a refreshing one. Vishal Dadlani, after the blasting track of Dhan te nan in Kaminey, it was totally a different one with Pyaar Impossible. This single song when heard first can explain what the whole album flow is, and what you can expect from the whole album. Dominique Cerejo is the the female voice and brings a pleasant lighter feel to the song, with a western touch.

You and Me – This is a track where the music wins over the voice, pretty well rhythmic and well mixed. Salim-Sulaiman’s music along with Neha Bhasin and Benny Dayal has laid a perfect number with another awesome lyrics part by Anvita.

10 on 10 – Mahua Kamath, Anushka Manchanda and Naresh Kamath in a total girlie song, am not a fan of this kind of song, though liked the music, anything that resembles the likes of any hollywood serial, and album songs of Hannah Montana, or Britney Spears. Energetic music, that would make you listen to it till the end.

Ek thi ladki – A narration with some music. This is what explains the song better. Remember Neil n Nikki title song? There were both talking about each other but here, its just the girl explains how a guy fell in love with her. Rishika Sawant, a debutant singer as you can say, did a good entry with the sweetish voice in this number.

Overall the music is pretty good.. and this is the first time I am reviewing the music as was asked by a friend, i would rather rate the whole album in total.
