Oye movie review – Telugu movie, not too good, not bad

Oye (also spelled Oy) is a telugu movie starring Siddharth, Shyamili in the main roles, and as many expected wrong, its not a romantic movie. Its just a love story of people from different traditions and lifestyle, with an unexpected and tragic end.

Siddharth being from a high class profile, and the movie starting with his father’s expiry, and then he falls in love with a girl(Shyamili) who leads her life in a very different way, simple and good. And she has a lot of expectations from the one who would be marrying her, about his nature, personality etc.

Siddharth lives as a paying guest in her house and tries to be as good as possible, to finally find that she is suffering from lung cancer. And that takes you to a tragic end to the movie where you would see her die.

The emotions, movie and action added up by the songs are all good but the direction in some parts is just worst. Being the first movie for Shyamili, she was not shown pretty well in the picture, and more concentration was given on Siddharth, his style and action. But the director had to realize, its not Siddharth’s first movie!

It won’t waste your money if you watch it in the theatre as its not that bad as people say. It depends on the taste. You would like it if you don’t expect any fights, or extreme two-way love story in the movie.
