Pritam agrees he is a Copycat – Hai Junoon Music!

pritam copycatOne of the well known Indian music directors, Pritam publicly accepted that he had copied the tunes in latest song Hai Junoon from the movie New York. With people already knowing that, he had enough guts to accept the copying act being a prolific and popular music director.

Pritam said -
Hai Junoon doesn’t match in terms of notes with Naluri Lelaki. I told myself: ‘Don’t touch an English song since people have heard it’. I thought it would be better to be inspired by obscure songs without realising that the Internet has made the world smaller and even the most obscure song can easily be traced”

“Since the past one year, I’ve been consciously trying to reform and not be influenced. There will be exactly three embarrassing moments ahead for me”

When there is no inspiration found from music, try to sit in a silent room and you would get good ideas. Copying is nothing good. You are already known like Anu Malik for copying the music for many songs earlier too, then why practising the same act? Come on and be original!

Half of the movie was with the music and song Hai Junoon and when i already knew the copying story and had heard that Indonesian track, i did not like to hear the music in the movie as it was not anything original. Why aren’t people like A.R. Rahman?
