IMAX is the name of the biggest and most beautiful theaters around the world, and these IMAX screens are the largest screens too. Gizmodo had built a list of the best IMAX screens and these are the IMAX Wonders of the world.

1. Since 1971, the big screen at Cinesphere – Toronto, Canada and its old obviously because IMAX is a canadian company which was established during that time.
The Cinesphere is a 752-seat theater boasting an 86-foot wide, 60-foot tall screen, and built in the shape of a Disney-esque dome.
2. The beautiful water-aside designed theater at L’Hemisferic – Valencia, Spain stands since 1998. The concept of the design is amazing. Designed in the shape of an eye with the theater in the place of the pupil of the eye.
3. The largest IMAX screen in the world, Darling Harbour – Sydney, Australia measures 117.2 feet wide and 96.5 feet high. The 540-seat structure has 15000 Watt sound system and needs great resources to run the projector.
4. Futuroscope – Poitiers, France – The amazing looking park based structure is known for its design and known to have every kind of IMAX within it. Especially the Flying Carpet screen on the ground floor which gives the experience of floating seat.
5. The Golden Snail – Jakarta, Indonesia – Rightly called the most gorgeous, organic IMAX theater whose design has a meaning. Its in the shape of a Golden snail, which is the national symbol of Indonesia. It was the largest screen but now it still might be holding the record of Largest capacity IMAX theater with 930-seat capacity.
6. Science Museum of Minnesota – Saint Paul, USA -
It has a specialized screen which can be flattened or can be made into dome shaped to watch movies that are built to watch in dome shaped screens, also called Omnifilms. It boasts for “largest permanently installed electronic cinema projector in the world”.
7. Prasads IMAX – Hyderabad, India – Its just 5 miles from where i live, and i can say when compared to the other IMAX theaters mentioned above, this do not come upto the mark. Its 72-foot high, 95-foot wide screen is accompanied by 635 seats and a 12,000-watt sound system. It holds the record for being the most visited IMAX theater for Harry Potter and Spiderman movies.
