Twitter Hindi Diwas – Hindi day in twitter

An hour ago, i logged into twitter to see what’s going on in the tech world, but was surprised and checked to see if i reached the right place. Most of the updates were in English-Hindi wordings.

Hindi language was being spoken by everyone in English alphabets. Then i came to know it was the Twitter Hindi Diwas where all the Indians were tweeting in Hindi.

I joined in and what everyone did was, they used #hindi hashtag and kept the tag in trending topics and still its on #2 in twitter. This shows how many Indian hindi speaking people use Twitter, and the #hindi tag became #2 internationally.

It still might be going to #1 very soon as am typing. Good initiative by people there.
I am not sure what my worldwide followers might be feeling :p but we all Indians are enjoying the Hindi twitter conversations and playing around with Hindi song lyrics, dialogs etc.
