Tweetups help twitter grow

As the title of the post says, tweetups or the twitter people meets are very helpful for twitter to grow and for networks of members to get bigger. This is what i felt after the Hyderabad tweetup that was held on 17th may 2009.

After the meet was finished, i could bring in 5 friends of mine by just explaining what a tweetup is, and what actually twitter is. I hope my hyderabad twitter friends might have also done the same. And when just a few people could bring so good number of people into tweeting through a tweetup and its publicity, you can imagine what the U.S. tweetups would bring in to influence people, and make them join twitter.
