Facebook in Hindi and other local languages for Indians
Facebook has been good for me than Orkut lately and it has become better and easier to use through mobiles too. And now, Facebook comes in various Indian languages, firstly Hindi.
The notification came on the homepage of Facebook when i logged in, and i tried the Hindi language and the site looked cool with the Hindi language for all the things present around except the friend’s messages etc. which were typed in English by them.
Apart from Hindi, the other local Indian languages that i could find are – Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada.
Might be working on the other languages too, and this shows that Facebook is totally trying to compete Orkut in the field of Social networks as Orkut is the most popular in India.
To set the language for your account if you don’t find any notification, go to the bottom of the page, and there you see the link “English”. Click on it and you would find a list of languages available in facebook. Select the one you want to use, and enjoy networking with friends.
