Just bought a HP Mini 1001 Laptop
Today i purchased a new laptop, the HP Mini 1001 laptop which is in total black color, and looks very small and cute. The main reason for the purchase is internet connection going weird in mac. In my macbook, i could not always work well with the USB modems of Reliance and Idea, or i had to work hard to do that when at college.
And this HP Mini comes with 60 GB Hard Drive, 1 GB RAM and integrated bluetooth, Wi-Fi service and 2 USB ports, but lacks CD drive, but who would expect one in that tiny gadget?
Its a 9.2″ screen and the camera quality is also satisfactory, and the keypad with the keys is of an average size and so normal computer users won’t have any problem in typing on it.
Its a lot better in its design, when compared to the ASUS EEE PC, pricing being the same. And the laptop can be taken anywhere very easily, and is very light in weight.
I would surely be enjoying with the HP Mini for sometime, till i overuse it and get bored with it.
That is what I hate about India. Even the big companies are obsessed about windows that they simply don’t make their product compatible with other OS. I want to buy a linux laptop but this problem hinders me.

Two months back, I checked almost all possible stores in mumbai for good netbook. I brought Asus Eeepc which is excellence for its price. It has great features like 10.1 inch LCD, 160 GB Hard disk (only 60 GB in HP), 9.5 hours battery backup, good cam and with 3 USB ports, wifi and bluetooth. Till now, I didnt face any problem and am very comfortable using the mini netbook. I think Asus Eeepc is a better deal than HP Mini.
