Earth Hour on March 28th, 2009 – Save the planet Earth

March 12 1 Comment Category: India

earth hourEarth Hour is a campaign against Global warming. And is spread worldwide. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF is urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

You too can join the world in making it happen, and can also take the initiative to handle everything in your city. I am doing that for my city, Nizamabad where I am studying. So are you?

Check out more at Earth hour.
Just registered myself for my city, and i would take the help of a few people i know from there and my entire college to make the Earth Hour happen successfully.

  1. The new Vote Earth 2009 global website has launched. There is an element on the site that incorporates Google’s Friend Connect and we want to get 1 billion people on the site by November before Copenhagen. A big ask, so we need some help.

To get involved, all you need to do is:
    1. Go to the site – http://www.voteearth2009.org
    2. Register with Friend Connect
    3. Send to a friend and get more people to sign up.

We need to get as many people as we can involved. So please encourage your friends to get involved.

    Get involved and VOTE EARTH!
