Tata Nano Car launching on March 3rd, 2009
The awaited car in India, Tata Nano which is also called as the Common man car, is finally set for launch on March 3rd, 2009 and its being gifted to a few celebrities in India during the launch.
The booking of the car starts from end of February, and an initial of Rs. 70,000 has to be paid to book the car. And the cost ranges from Rs. 1 Lakh to 1.34 Lakhs depending on the models and its features within the car.
Tata Motors, and State Bank of India will be accepting the payments and applications for bookings by the end of this month. Tata is expecting to collect around Rs. 700 crore only from the bookings, as the talk and demand on its release has been on a rise since long time.
A few people who will receive it initially – President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Opposition Leader LK Advani, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, Sania Mirza, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan and Kajol.
